Process Improvements

Reviewing and perhaps redesigning the current process is an essential pre-implementation component in a successful systems project. Another important ingredient to the success equation is expertly managing the change process. Components of our process redesign and change management approach include the following:

Readiness Assessment

We begin with organizational, technical and operational readiness assessments to determine whether your organization has all the elements in place to successfully complete the planned project.

Process Review

We then conduct a process review. We document current workflows and processes by conducting interviews, facilitating group work flow identification sessions and validating processes by direct observations. Our analysis looks for current strengths and areas for improvements. We develop pictorial analysis documents to achieve understanding of opportunities for improvements and changes needed to organization and processes.

New Process Design

The new processes are redesigned to the level of individual business activities and the level of automation support defined. These newly defined processes are presented for validation and clarification to the project oversight team.

Change Management

We support the implementation of systems with the appropriate knowledge management, training and change strategies needed to make the redesigned processes work. We can support these organizational and process changes with the following:

  • Readiness assessment
  • Change management planning
  • Communications planning
  • Project team organization
  • Participative development of policies and procedures
  • Diagnosis and support of the people dimension of change
  • Team building
  • Training
  • Post implementation review
