Ms. Snyder brings with her more than twenty years of experience in strategic planning, health information technology, team management, information systems development and implementation, managerial finance and manufacturing accounting. In addition, she gained an extensive knowledge of healthcare, finance and manufacturing in industry leading companies. Working closely with executive management, Kim developed the foresight and skills to consolidate information into the knowledge required for effective company management. Ms. Snyder uses a goal-oriented approach in her leadership style and offers a strong talent for dealing with and motivating diverse groups. She is passionate about driving organization success through operational excellence. Ms. Snyder is known as a leader and visionary in the management of complex projects, focusing on health care system quality control and change management.

Representative Client Experience

  • e-Health Consultant for the State of Arizona, Government Information Technology Agency, HISPC Arizona Health Privacy Project (AHPP) and the Rural Health Information Technology Adoption grant program (RHITA). Project Manager for HISPC AHPP phase one and two. Provide strategic oversight for the RHITA program.
  • Co-Chair and Project Director of the multi-state collaborative for standards adoption as it relates to eHealth and security, working with ten states to develop minimum requirements for inoperability across states sharing electronic health records. Serve on National Steering Committee under the Office of the National Coordinator for privacy and security.
  • Chair of the Security Working Group for Arizona Health-e Connection, setting policy standards for security requirement for health information exchange.
  • Project Manager for the Legal Committee for Arizona Health-e Connection.
  • Strategic Consultant for a premier company in the managed health care industry. Led team to decision surrounding ERP systems. Prepared the Statement of Work and the necessary steps to be implemented in the IT department to prepare to support the ERP application once the migration is completed.
  • Developed strategic technology plan for a non-profit entity, managed an array of individual projects, including hardware infrastructure and software requirements and development for case management system. Performed fundraising activities as needed. Successful in soliciting hardware and software donations.
  • Managed vendor outsourcing and consultants for several clients
  • Strategic Consultant for the corporate office of a restaurant company, evaluated software applications, defined requirements, led team to successful implementation of Lawson HR/Payroll, Manager Self Service, on line Benefits and Financials for 6000 employees, interfacing critical data with POS System for 70 restaurants using hosted applications.
  • Prepared budgets as well as measuring budget versus actual for several clients • Project Manager responsible for assessing, developing and implementing web strategy for a manufacturer of power supplies

Prior Experience

Ms. Snyder was the Chief Information Officer for Inter-tel, Inc. (now Mitel) where she was responsible for a $10 million budget and managed a staff of over 70 employees and consultants. She was accountable for 30 sites technology requirements and successfully selected, negotiated and implemented Oracle ERP systems on time and within budget. Ms. Snyder has been a consultant for the past nine years, performing strategic planning, software implementations, security and privacy analysis and health information organizational requirements.

Education/Affiliations

Ms. Snyder’s education includes a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Phoenix. She is the founder and former President of the Alliance of Technology and Women, Arizona Chapter and also served on the board for Women in Technology International. She is a member of the Clinical / Technical Committee for Arizona Health-e Connection and the APIPS-Rx Committee working on the Arizona initiative to promote and facilitate e-prescribing. Ms. Snyder currently serves on the Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC), which is a Governor-appointed position for the Office of the State CIO. In addition, she has been the keynote speaker for DeVry University Graduating Class of 2004 and the keynote speaker for the ASU Leadership conference (CLEP).
