Ms. Adams has been involved for over forty years in all aspects of health care, information systems, and management. She consults with organizations on planning, system selection, and implementation, with a focus on team building and organizational change. Her expertise in project, people and information management along with issue identification and resolution has helped businesses in focusing on their objectives and in making dramatic organizational changes. Her consulting style is to teach those with whom she works, to create self-sufficiency and to apply technology to improve the organization's operations, processes and documentation.

Prior Experience
Previous to working with HCIC and consulting independently, she worked for Ernst & Young as a senior manager in their health care information systems practice where she focused on strategic clinical technologies. Before joining Ernst & Young, she had a successful 18-year career with IBM where she held a variety of positions - systems engineering, technical and marketing management and product development and administration.
Education/Affiliations
Ms. Adams received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Mississippi State University and a Master of Arts degree in psychology with distinction and with emphasis in organizational development from West Georgia College (now known as the University of West Georgia).
She is also involved in local and national professional groups including Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the Maryland Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (MD HIMSS), and attends strategic conferences such as American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), Long Term Care Health IT Summit and National Association for Home Care (NAHC).
